September: monthly favorites

Well hello again. It’s been some time since I’ve visited. The summer had more than it’s fair share of business. There’s so much to catch up on, I don’t know where to begin! So, I guess I should go back to the schedule and later I’ll fill you in on some of the details.

Although September ended last week, I still want to share a small selection of links for the month. The internet never ceases to amaze and entertain and there’s always so much good information to share.

That’s Like Whoa: An excellent time-waster filled with bizarre things you didn’t know existed.

In 2011, Shelley Miller created a mural out of sugar. Yes, sugar. You can read about her project and see images of the process on her blog.

The Super Peel. This is the most effective way to transport a pizza from counter to oven. No mess, no torn dough, lost toppings, or spilled cornmeal. I first witnessed the magic at a friend’s house. You can see videos online to better understand how it works. It can also be used on cookies and pie dough, bread, or other sticky items that you need to move from one space to another.

It’s a short list this month. I hope you’ll come back again soon. We’ve got so much to catch up on.
