It’s NaBloPoMo, National Blog Posting Month. For the month of November, I’m going to post every day. This is day 19. Amazing!
It’s been one of those days. I’m at a loss for words from the utter intensity of today. That really seldom happens to me! If I liked coffee, I would have had several cups today, preferably from this mug, our favorite. It’s very satisfying to get to the last sip and see the details at the bottom of the mug: imperfections and variations in the glaze, finger trails from the wheel throwing process.
This mug was made by our friend and neighbor, Jeremy Ogusky the Boston Potter. Drinking from this mug is like getting a warm coffee (or tea)-flavored hug from a friend. You can find his pottery online or at several upcoming holiday fairs. Or find something created by an artisan or ceramicist wherever “local” may be for you. Whatever you do, I hope warm coffee-hugs from friends and loved ones are in your future.
